Getting to Salt Spring means crossing the water so you will have to rely on the ferries or the float planes for part of the trip.  Depending on where you are coming from, the route can be a combination of planes, buses, ferries or cars.

Salt Spring Island offers myriad options for places to stay including restful bed and breakfasts all over the island, hotels, cabins and vacation rentals. You can explore the options with all the details and even make a reservation request through the online reservations system.

Once you’re here, you’ll need a way to get around.  There is public transit on Salt Spring Island and car rentals are available to get to the remote corners of the island on your own schedule.  There’s plenty to do and some of it is off the transit routes.  If you wanted to follow the studio tour and check out the varied offerings of the island artists, or explore some of the natural wonders in the parks of Salt Spring,  you can find the options for travel on the Getting Around page.
