How to Get Here

BC Ferries Salt Spring Air

Michael Levy

The scenery alone makes getting to Salt Spring half the fun.

Though it is an island, Salt Spring is simple to get to. The hardest part will be making the decision of which option to choose . It is the most accessible of the Gulf Islands whether coming from Vancouver, Victoria or Seattle.

A leisurely ferry passage through the Gulf Islands competes with the jaw-dropping aerial views and the speed and convenience of catching a sea plane.

International flights land at Vancouver International Airport, a short drive from Tsawwassen ferry terminal connecting to Long Harbour.  You can also arrive via  the Victoria Intermational Airport , a short drive to Swartz Bay ferry terminal on Vancouver Island and the departure point for the 35 minute ferry to Fulford Harbour on Salt Spring. Watch for porpoises and whales!

Travel By Car, Foot or Bicycle

To get to our island, there are 3 Ferry Routes.  Arrivals and Departures for Vancouver go via  Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Long Harbour.  The Ferry from Crofton on Vancouver Island arrives at Vesuvius and the Ferry fromSwartz Bay near Victoria on Vancouver Island arrives via funky Fulford Harbour.

The Salt Spring Bus daily service meets most ferries and will transport you throughout the island.  The busses are equipped to carry bicycles and all your gear!           1-250-538-4282.
